Key achievements include: Achieving net zero emissions for the year by offsetting 100% of its gross emissions through tree planting and excess solar generation and supply to the grid, making AVC a carbon net-zero organization for the financial year 2022-23, while fulfilling 100% of its electricity needs through rooftop solar. Significantly reducing energy consumption, with only 25.58 kWh of electricity used per square meter of office space, which is 75% lower than the benchmark set by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) for similar office buildings in warm and humid climates. The area, known as Rajapalayam LPA (Local Planning Area), encompasses the town, 15 nearby revenue villages, and 2 reserved forests. According to the 2011 Census, the total population of this region is around 2.16 lakh. In 2023, a master plan was created for Rajapalayam LPA, with a planning horizon extending until 2041. The master plan's objectives include promoting sustainable urban development, responsible land usage, and efficient resource management.
